Industry Fellow

I am a postdoctoral associate in the SPIRES Lab, where I study natural climate solutions (NCS) in carbon markets and the integration of remotely sensed data into conservation impact evaluation. My research broadly focuses on the links between conservation and human development in forested and agricultural landscapes, with an emphasis on how policies can achieve joint social and environmental benefits. I am currently collaborating with a diverse group of carbon market researchers and stakeholders to advance high-integrity NCS carbon markets. Specifically, I lead a working group focused on developing transparent and reliable digital Monitoring, Reporting, and Verification (dMRV) methods that are both scientifically credible and incorporate ethical data practices. As a YCNCC Industry Fellow, I look forward to incorporating industry perspectives to help shape applied research that supports more robust, equitable, and effective NCS carbon markets.
