YCNCC SCIENTISTS CONVENING FIVE AGU24 SESSIONS

Scientists from the Yale Center for Natural Carbon Capture (YCNCC) are co-convening five sessions at the American Geophysical Union AGU24 annual meeting December 9-13 in Washington D.C.
- YCNCC Scientific Leadership Team member Matthew Eisaman is co-convening Session GC040 entitled Carbon Dioxide Removal at Scale: Science, Technology, Policy, and Market with Ning Zeng from the University of Maryland, Jessica Cross from the Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, and David Beerling from the University of Sheffield.
- YCNCC Scientific Leadership Team member Noah Planavsky is co-convening Session B045 entitled Enhanced Weathering for Soil-Based Carbon Dioxide Removal: Potential and Challenges with Jennifer Pett-Ridge from Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory, Daniel Maxbauer from Carleton College, and Isabel Montañez from the University of California Davis – with incoming Yale Earth & Planetary Sciences PhD student Ella Milliken as early career convener!
- YCNCC Scientific Leadership Team member Sparkle Malone is co-convening Session B047 entitled Exploring Methane Dynamics in Terrestrial and Aquatic Ecosystems via Advanced Bottom-up, Top-down, and AI/ML Modeling with Youmi Oh from University of Colorado Boulder, Licheng Liu of University of Minnesota Twin Cities, and Gavin McNicol of University of Illinois Chicago.
- YCNCC Postdoctoral Fellow Tim Jesper Surhoff is convening Session GC146 entitled Terrestrial Enhanced Weathering and Downstream Processes in Soils, Rivers, and Oceans with YCNCC Scientific Leadership Team member Peter Raymond, YCNCC Associate Research Scientist Maya Almaraz, and Shuang Zhang from Texas A&M University.
- YCNCC Associate Research Scientist Maya Almaraz is co-convening Session B105 entitled The Bioatmospheric N Cycle: N Emissions, Transformations, and Deposition and Terrestrial and Aquatic Ecosystem Impacts with Da Pan and Emily Stuchiner from Colorado State University, Stu Weiss from the Creekside Center for Earth Observation, and Brendan Harrison from the University of California Berkeley.
