YCNCC’s Inaugural Spring 2025 Visiting Scholar Dr. Zeke Hausfather

YCNCC is pleased and excited to welcome our inaugural Spring 2025 Visiting Scholar, Dr. Zeke Hausfather, to Yale’s campus on March 27 - 28.

Dr. Hausfather will deliver a public talk on “Durable Carbon Dioxide Removal: A Key Part of Climate Mitigation or a Dangerous Distraction” hosted by the Yale School of the Environment Associate Dean Peter Raymond at 12p ET on Thursday, March 27, in YSE’s Burke Auditorium. Registration link here.

In addition, Dr. Hausfather will host a morning coffee chat with the Yale Earth & Planetary Sciences and YSE student CDR researchers, and participate in a panel discussion at 12p ET on Friday, March 28 in the KGL Tearoom on “What Can Enhanced Weathering Learn from Soil Organic Carbon (and Vice Versa)” alongside Mark Bradford; Sara Kuebbing; Emily Oldfield; and Noah Planavsky. Dr. Hausfather will also visit with colleagues from Yale School of the Environment centers he worked with during his time as a student, including at the Center for Industrial Ecology, and Dr. Anthony Leiserowitz’s Yale Program for Climate Change Communications student lab.
