Yale-related nonprofit wins $50 million XPRIZE for carbon dioxide removal tech

Congratulations to Mati Carbon for winning the $50M XPRIZE for Carbon Removal. Mati is doing incredible work with smallholder farmers in the Global South, using Enhanced Weathering (EW) to deliver long-term carbon removal with real benefits for agriculture. The approach is rooted in part in YCNCC research, with Noah Planavsky - a member of our Scientific Leadership Team - leading Mati’s Scientific Advisory Board.
