The Yale Center for Natural Carbon Capture (YCNCC) was pleased to welcome Dr. Matthew Potts as its Fall 2025 Visiting Scholar on October 7-8, 2025. The Yale Applied Science Synthesis Program (YASSP) hosted the visit, which included a packed agenda of talks, panels, and meetings with Center leadership, faculty, and student researchers.
Highlights from Dr. Potts’s visit included a well-attended public lecture on Monday October 7 in Burke Auditorium titled “From Theory to Practice, Advancing Climate Solutions Through Data.” On Tuesday October 8, he participated in a lively morning panel discussion on “Temporal Dynamics of Carbon Dioxide Removal,” alongside YCNCC scientists Sara Kuebbing, Noah Planavsky, and Eric Slessarev, moderated by YCNCC Managing Director Toby Bryce.
